CedarGrantFederal grant drafts in your own AI assistant Add to Claude

Terms of use

These terms apply to the CedarGrant website and the CedarGrant AI connector. By using them you agree to these terms. Effective October 22, 2026.

What CedarGrant provides

CedarGrant lists open federal grant notices, built from public government data on Grants.gov, on this website and through a connector for AI assistants. It also offers a drafting kit: written instructions that your own AI assistant uses to read an official grant announcement, prepare a requirements checklist and a first draft of an application, or prepare a Requirements Map that shows where your own draft mentions each requirement in an announcement.

Early access

The connector and the drafting kit are offered free during early access. Early-access features may change, be limited or become paid; we will give notice on this site before any feature you use becomes paid.

Your documents and answers stay with you

CedarGrant does not access, store or review grant announcements, files you attach, your answers to your assistant's questions, your drafts or your organization's information. The reading and writing happen between you and your AI assistant, under that provider's terms.

Information, not advice

Data on this site comes from public government sources and is provided as is. It may contain errors or be out of date. Always confirm details in the official announcement and its modifications before deciding to apply. Nothing on this site or produced with the drafting kit is legal, financial, tax or grant-writing advice.

Where the data comes from

Open grant notices come from Grants.gov and are refreshed daily; only the public notice facts and the official links are shown. Agencies sometimes change, extend or withdraw notices, so our pages can differ from the latest official record. The official announcement is always the authority.

You stay responsible for your application

Any information, checklist, Requirements Map, template or draft prepared with CedarGrant is a starting point. Checklists and Requirements Maps list what an announcement states and where your text mentions it; they do not decide whether your organization is eligible, whether a requirement is met, or whether an application will be funded. You are responsible for verifying every statement, every figure and every commitment, for your budget and cost share, for following the funder's rules (including any rules on the use of AI tools), for signing all certifications and for submitting your application. We never submit applications on your behalf.

Using CedarGrant with AI assistants

The CedarGrant connector gives AI assistants, such as Claude, read-only access to our data and instructions. Your AI assistant is a third-party service: your conversations, and how the assistant uses our data in its answers, are governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy. AI assistants can make mistakes, so check important facts against the official announcement. We do not use your conversations or connector requests to train any AI model.

No guarantees

The site and the connector are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. We do not guarantee that any notice is complete or current, that your organization is eligible for any grant, or that any application will be funded.

Changes to the service, and suspension

We may change, interrupt or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We may limit or block access for anyone who breaks these terms or puts the service at risk.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site or the connector to break the law, to submit false or misleading information to any funder, to overload or disrupt the service (including automated bulk downloading beyond normal use), to try to access systems or data you are not permitted to access, or to misrepresent your affiliation with CedarGrant or any government agency.

Our name

You may refer to CedarGrant by name and link to our pages. Do not use our name or icon in a way that suggests we endorse you, your organization or your application.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CedarGrant is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost funding, lost opportunities or lost data, arising from your use of the site, the connector or the drafting kit. For the free services, our total liability is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars.

Indemnity

If you use CedarGrant for your organization, you agree to cover our reasonable costs if a claim is brought against us because of your applications, your content or your breach of these terms.

Government data and our content

Federal government data is generally not subject to copyright. Our pages, design, instructions and code are ours. CedarGrant is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for Grants.gov or any government agency or funder.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top shows when they last changed. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

General

These terms are the entire agreement between you and CedarGrant about the free services. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a part of these terms is not a waiver of it.
